Polyisocyanurate

Environmental Sustainability

Dyplast Products is committed to environmental sustainability and the principles of ISO 14000 series. We utilize the very latest technologies in the production and handling of:

  • Achieving compliance with the most demanding codes and specifications
  • Meeting the Montreal Protocol requirements
  • Maximizing efficiencies with respect to energy usage and waste minimization
  • Recycling waste products

Environmental Impact

ISO-C1 produced after January 1, 2005 is made utilizing hydrocarbon blowing agents. Hydrocarbon-blown foams have insulation K-factors (thermal conductivity or insulating value) comparable to those of foams blown with HFC-245fa and HFC-134a. Both HFCs have GWP values about 500 times higher than pentane's.

ISO-C1 is an inert product that does not rot and has an extremely long life, minimizing any need for replacement. The outstanding insulating properties of ISO-C1 make it highly energy efficient, capable of dramatic reductions in heating and cooling costs for industrial, commercial, and residential applications.

EPS is also an inert, organic material and is produced from petroleum and natural gas byproducts. EPS does not contain chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs), HCFCs, or formaldehyde. It is manufactured with hydrocarbon blowing agents, and provides no nutritive value to plants, animals, or microorganisms. It will not rot, and is highly resistant to mildew. EPS can be recycled.

Waste Minimization

Dyplast Products incorporates the newest equipment and technologies into our manufacturing processes. We work with resin producers to minimize the use of natural resources and air and water emissions. This results in higher production levels of our EPS product with less virgin material, while maintaining the same high level of performance. By improving the design efficiencies of our product lines and recycling waste, it is possible to divert tons of waste otherwise sent to landfill.
