DYPLAST AWARDED POLYISOCYANURATE INSULATION SUPPLY CONTRACTCOVE POINT LNG TERMINAL EXPANSION PROJECTMIAMI - (December 1, 2007) - Dyplast Products, LLC Dyplast Products announced today that it has been selected to supply the polyisocyanurate (Dyplast's ISO-C1 polyiso) insulation for the Cove Point liquid natural gas (LNG) expansion project. Located on the Chesapeake Bay in Cove Point, Maryland, south of Baltimore, it is one of the nation's largest liquefied natural gas (LNG) import facilities. This award follows the Elba Island LNG expansion award in which Dyplast (polyisicyanurate insulation supplier), Insulation Materials Corporation (fabricator), and LandCoast (insulation installer) coordinated to achieve the aggressive objectives of Southern LNG (owner) and Chicago Bridge and Iron (EPC contractor). [see Elba Island Case Study] Cove Point, Maryland is one of the nation's largest liquefied natural gas (LNG) import facilities. Dominion Cove Point will play an increasingly critical role in coming years since natural gas is the energy of choice for many Americans, and demand is expected to grow by at least 20 percent over the next decade. Reserves in a number of other countries are available and for sale, but the gas must be transported. The most efficient way to transport natural gas across the ocean is to liquefy it and ship it in specially built tankers. Dominion Cove Point is strategically located where it can receive LNG tankers, store the LNG onshore, then transform it back to gas when it is needed to meet demand. Dyplast Products is proud to have been selected as the insulation supplier for the Cove Point expansion.
